Most arrive to Hvar from the harbor town of Split in Croatia. There are basically two options vis-à-vis the ferry connections to the island: A two-hour car ferry arriving at the ferry harbor at the town of Stari Grad on Hvar (15 km from Hvar town itself) or a one-hour passenger catamaran arriving directly in Hvar town. In addition, during the summer there is normally a weekly or twice weekly car ferries between Split and Stari Grad that continues to Korcula Town (on island Korcula) and Dubrovnik. For travelers coming by car fromDubrovnik or Bosnia & Herzegovina, there is a frequent daily car ferry between Drvenik (on the mainland) and Sucuraj (on Hvar Island) run by Jadrolinija.
There are ferries from Italy to Hvar Island in the summer. Summer ferries include Hvar to Pescara, Italy and from Hvar to Pescara, Italy via Korcula as well as a summer ferry connection to Ancona.
Most ferries landing at Stari Grad are met by buses and individual taxi’s to Hvar Town. For guests that reserved more than four days in advance of their stay with us, we can assist in arranging your transport from the arrival point in Hvar (Stari Grad or Hvar town) to Villa Anamarija.
